Engagement

I’m going to be making three new posts today, one of which pertaining to the big news I have in my life, my recent engagement. One being about Filmaka, and what I have gone through with them and continue to go through without getting paid, and the last one being about my new projects.

I’m going to be starting a category for each project, each time I post something new I’m going to include it in there. I haven’t decided if I should make a different post for each one, or if I should make one big post and lump it into different categories. I want to make looking back at the project from start to finish easy, so I may make a new post for each one. I have three major projects going on right now, a web series/television series pilot being written and executive produced by Dan Wagner and myself. My directorial feature film debut, a psychological thriller about a killers perspective on murder; Lastly, a short film being written by Erik Even and directed by Alicia Ferraro which is set to be filmed in January.

But onto the real news, on November 24, 2008 I proposed to my long-time girlfriend, Kayla Layne. She, of course, said yes. After she got off work, I wanted to take her for a romantic walk. Instead she decided to blow through the walk, power-walking the entire time. We got to the park where I wanted to propose and we just blew past it, so I figured we could stop at another park that was coming up. We blew past that as well. Finally we came to a small walking path by her house that we hadn’t gone down in a long time. Half way down the path I grabbed her, turned her towards me, made her stop and got down on one knee to ask her.

When we got back to her house, my parents and her parents were waiting there with Champagne and congratulations. After wards we went out to dinner with her parents, calling all of our friends and family and telling them about it.

It was a definitely memorable night, and one I’ll never forget. Take a look at the ring here.

Netflix Ups It’s Blu-Ray Subscription Price

While the economy is hurting pretty bad, Netflix decided now would be a good time to increase the price for Blu-Ray movies. If you, like me, are a Blu-Ray fanatic then you should probably take note that you’ll be paying a little more per month for Blu-Ray rental capabilitiies.

Netflix is increasing the subscription price on November 5th by $1.00, plus any taxes (Which, in California comes to around $1.08). A small price to pay indeed, but kind of annoying.

Below is the email I received from Netflix regarding the price change:

Dear Tyler,

As you may know, Blu-ray movies are more expensive than standard definition movies. As a result, we’re going to start charging $1 a month (plus applicable taxes), in addition to your monthly membership charge, for unlimited access to Blu-ray movies.

The additional charge for unlimited Blu-ray access will be automatically added to your next billing statement on or after November 5th, 2008 and will be referenced in your Membership Terms and Details. If you wish to continue getting Blu-ray movies for $1 a month more, you don’t need to do anything. If not, you can remove Blu-ray access anytime by visiting Your Account at the Netflix website.

If you have questions about this change or need any assistance, please call us anytime at 1-888-638-3549.
